There is really nothing cuter than a little girl in a tutu. Tumbling around, spinning and trying their darnedest to be a prima ballerina.
I will be honest; My girls are not the most coordinated-- they get that from the hubby's side. If there is a wall or door jam that needs to be bumped into-- they will find it. Just because the girls are clumsy doesn't mean that they should forgo practicing something they love or enjoy-- especially something that is active and is good for their bodies!
I had the pleasure to introduce my girls to Prima Princessa presents Swan Lake. The main character, Prima Princessa-- an animated fairy ballerina, guides children and magically transports them to see the Paris Opera Ballet perform select segments of Swan Lake. In between acts, the children return home to learn simple ballet steps which are playfully shown mixed into colorful montages of toys, animals, children and young dancers from the School of American Ballet. My girls loved listening, watching and and doing. It is not everyday that you come across a DVD that is so hands-on, educational, and fun-- it's so well worth the $6.99 price tag!
